Vincent Claude Henderson

Vincent Claude Henderson, age 83 of Lake Jackson, passed away March 2, 2010. Mr. Henderson was a Veteran of World War II. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Fern Elizabeth Stephenson Henderson; brother, Eugene Erken Henderson.

Mr. Henderson is survived by seven children, Victoria Heckendorn and husband, Warren, Paula Myer and husband, David, Diana Hodges and the late William, Vincent C. Henderson II and wife, Sherry, Greta Luce and husband, Jay, Karla Christman and husband, Ed, Eric Henderson and wife, Lucilla; 22 grandchildren, Rob Heckendorn and wife, Mary, Karl Heckendorn and wife, Susan, Johanna Funk and husband, Chad, Marguerite Chernosky and husband, Kyle, Jennifer Stringer and husband, Daniel, Dr. Chip Silvertooth and wife, Dr. Erin Silvertooth, Gretchen Lautenschlager and husband, Erik, Jeff Silvertooth and wife, Laura, Bryan Hodges and wife, Kim, Nell Bonds and husband, Bryan, Kris Styles and husband, Heath, Neal Hodges and wife, Rachel, Vincent Henderson III, John Henderson, Martha Henderson, April Mote and husband, Trevor, Jayson Luce, Katherine LeFave and husband, Daniel, Zachary Christman, Audrey Henderson, Indy Henderson, Emily Henderson; 29 Great-Grandchildren and many more to come; brothers, William Henderson and Cornelius Albert Henderson, Jr.

Funeral services to be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday March 5, 2010 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, with Msgr. Leo Wleczyk officiating. Entombment will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Restwood Funeral Home. The family wishes to offer special thanks to Mr. Henderson’s Caretaker, Doris Mathews and the staff of IPH Hospice for their loving care.
