

He was born on December 20, 1918 to Marjorie and Richard Tidwell in Ellsworth, Kansas. He was a longtime Brazoria County and Jones Creek Resident.
He was married to the love of his life and best friend, Lois Lorraine Tidwell for 74 years. He treasured his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He proudly served his country during WW II in the US Air Corp and later was Manager of Chemical Leaman Tank Lines and Enterprise Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; daughter Sandra Shaw and husband Wayne of Lake Jackson; Son, William Tidwell, Jr. and wife Susie of Jones Creek.
His Grandchildren include Michael Rasmussen, wife Wendy of Frisco; Kimberly Baise and husband Russell of Abilene; Shane Tidwell, wife Jill of Abilene; Colt Tidwell, wife Laura of Lake Jackson; James Tidwell of Webster; Blake Shaw and wife Jennefer of Victoria; Jason Shaw and wife Jennifer of Austin; Brad Shaw and wife, Robyn of Houston, Marc Barrera and wife Larissa of Robstown; Vanessa Hudson and husband Andrew of Carrolton.
Great Grandchildren include: Emma Rasmussen and Shaw Rasmussen, Houston Koenig, Stetson Koenig, Cash Koenig, Jack Tidwell, Kason Tidwell and soon to be born, Harper Tidwell, Tori Shaw, Connor Shaw, Dylan Shaw, Katelyn Shaw, Brittney Rogers, Ian Shaw, Aqua Leisure, Andrew Hudson, Malakhi Barrera, Cayden Barrera and Shelby Barrera.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Madelyn.

He was loved and highly respected by everyone who worked for him or knew him. He always had a smile and warm greeting for everyone.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 with services immediately following at Gulf Prairie Presbyterian Church in Jones Creek. Graveside services will be private. Grand Sons and Grand Daughters will be Pallbearers.
