

NB Scrivner was born in Ada, OK on Feb 20, 1931 to Nelson and Nettie Scrivner. He left this phase of his life on March 31, 2016 following an illness. NB arrived in California in 1942, living in Richmond, Delano, Porterville and Coalinga. He left school early in life in order to work and help support his family. He always had a strong work ethic and a generous heart.
He first moved to Coalinga in 1951 and for periods of time lived in Paso Robles and Lewiston, returning to Coalinga in 1996. He was a sucessful business owner for many years, he owned S&W Construction along with his brother-in-law Keith Wilson. Later in his career he owned MRS Trucking and mined for gold in the Whiskey Town Shasta National Forest.
NB is survived by many family members: Son Randy and wife Arlyse Scrivner, daughters Sheila Des Laurie, Brenda Young and Tami Turnipseed; 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchild and 1 Great-great-grandchild; sister and husband Notra and Jack Moseley, sister Minnie Clay, sister and husband Mary and Jerry Bennett, brother and wife Bill and Kathy Scrivner; many, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter Vicki Scrivner, his parents, his wife Wanda Smith Scrivner, brother and wife PM and Mary Scrivner, brother Laurance Scrivner, brother and wife Al and Ginny Scrivner, sister and husband Nellie and Les Barton, brother- in- law Glenn Clay, sister-in-law Neda and husband Keith Wilson, brother-in-law Norman Wilson, sister-in-law Polly Allensworth and many other friends and extended family members.
