Aron Scott Lewington

Aron, age 54, was born in Rockledge, FL and graduated from Cocoa High School. He then proudly served in the US Navy for 17 ½ years before being medically retired. He served aboard the USS Elmer Montgomery and was on the first crew of the USS Gettysburg; then in London, England (where he met his wife, Christine); Tampa, FL; and lastly Honolulu, HI. Upon retirement he brought his family back to Brevard County. He worked for several years at DRS and for the last year at MCI.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine, and their 2 children, Katherine Townsend (Charlie) and Nicholas (Nadirah). Also, his father Grant (Judith Ann), sister Chris Broadwell (Jimmy), stepsisters Kathy Harte (Dave), Liz Babich (Rob), Sue Rinaldi (Bill), & Tracy Wirth, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles. He is predeceased by his mother, Judy.

He enjoyed volunteering his time with both the Boy Scouts of America and the Moose Lodge. He was very grateful for the many wonderful friends in both organizations.

The memorial service will be held at the Merritt Island Moose Lodge located at 3150 N Courtney Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953 on August 5th at 11 a.m. If you’d like to send flowers, they can be sent to the Moose Lodge. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Aron’s name to the National Veteran’s Homeless Support (NVHS) – an organization that helped the family when they lost their home in a hurricane.
