Rockledge. Born in Kentucky to the late John C Adams and Olive
Brown, the family moved to Knoxville Tennessee and resided
there for many years. In 1964 he and his wife (Pauline) and
daughter (Linda) moved to Cocoa Florida, where he maintained
his residency here till his passing. He was a resident of
Westminster Asbury Arms complex and a member of the King
Street Baptist Church located in Cocoa. Bill worked as an
automobile mechanic at several service stations in Cocoa and at
Jimmy Vickers Merritt Island as a service technician. He was also a
sales associate at the Merritt Island Scotty's store for 10 years.
He enjoyed wood-working, his friends and family, and doing
things for people at Asbury Arms.
He is survived by his daughter
Linda A. Bassett (Fremont Bassett), his grandson John Bassett
(Rebecca Bassett), grandson Greg Bassett, and his two great
grandchildren Caleb Bassett and Brooklyn Bassett. He is also
survived by his bothers Paul Adams (Ann Adams), Joseph Adams
(Dottie)John Adams (Mary), sisters Patricia Adams, Phyllis Hayes
(Dick Hayes), Peggy Monroe (Glen Monroe) and niece Rhonda
Shreve, Anita, Liz and Debbie.
A visitation will be held on Friday August 31 from 10 AM to 1l AM followed by funeral service to honor Bill's life at 11 AM at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, Cocoa, Fl
