

Burton Chase Adams, age 88, peacefully passed away on January 20th, 2026 at his home in Chuluota, Florida. In the days prior to his passing he was surrounded by his family, who loved him dearly. Burt was a great Father, Grandfather and friend to many.
Burt was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 18, 1937. After graduating from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Ohio, he attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio majoring in Electrical Engineering. Prior to graduating, he relocated to Santa Monica, California to join the Apollo/moon Space Program with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Space Systems. He remained as an electrical engineer with the space program which included working at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, as well as the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. During his time in Florida, He completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
After 40 years, Burt retired from Boeing Aerospace, and remained in Florida enjoying his family, playing bridge, tennis, boating, occasional ocean cruises, and participation with his condo and yacht club associations.
Burt is survived by his younger brother, Norman Adams, his son, Scott Adams, daughter, Kimberly Goodrich, and grandchildren, Kendall Adams, Megan Adams, Hunter Goodrich, and Haley Calhoun.
