Charles Owens, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Wuesthoff Hospital. He was born in Wamego, Kansas and came to Brevard County in 1958 from Kansas.
Charles retired as a high voltage electrician. He worked for Pan American and Johnson Controls. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island. He was a truly dedicated Christian man to his family and friends.
Preceded in death by son, John "Randy" Owens. Survived by wife, Donna Owens; daughters, Chiri Kilday and Mickie Charlene Owens; grandchildren, Robert, Shawn and Kate Owens and Alex and Amanda Kilday; sister, Helen Peters of Iowa; and brother, William Owens of Kansas.
Calling hours will be from 2 - 3 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011, with the funeral services following at 3 p.m. at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be at Brevard Memorial Park in Sharpes.
