Clearine K. Gleason entered into eternal life on August 3, 2018. Born in Virginia on June 3, 1927 to C.T. and Mary Frances Kyger. She graduated from VA. R.N. school of Nursing and had R.N. Licenses from every state she has lived (OH VA MD KY IND NM and FL). She met her husband while in nurses’ training and they were married in 1949.
She worked for TWA @ Kennedy Space Center for 3 yrs. and was selected to be charge R.N. for Medical Emergency V.I. P. site for the first man walk on the moon July 16, 1969. She enjoyed 17 yrs. with Circles of Care, retiring in 1994 as Utilization Review, R.N.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She loved her family passionately and put them first while enjoying her travels, friends and busy life. She was very active socially in each state & place she lived.
She was known for her kindness, caring, compassion, helpfulness, & cheerfulness.
She enjoyed traveling and cruises with family & friends. She traveled every state except Hawaii and toured areas of Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands on cruises.
She is a member of First Baptist Church of Pt. St John and loved her church family.
She will be missed by her loving dedicated husband Vernon L. Gleason of 69 yrs. She loved her Son, Vernon Jr. (LON) loved and admired her daughter-in-law Tammy of Cocoa, grandson Matthew, wife Ashley great grandsons, Miles, Parker and Asher Gleason, Merritt Island, and granddaughter Mallory & husband Micah Mundy and 4th great grandson, Cyrus Mundy, Nashville, TN.
She loved and enjoyed spending time with her step granddaughters, Callie Spearman (Ashley), Sarah Sicolo (Joey) and grandson David Hughes; step great grandchildren, Susie and Maxwell Spearman and Henry. She is survived by her sister Helen Hoover, Titusville, FL, nephew Ric Hoover and several nieces & nephews in FL and VA. She is predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral service will be held @ Brevard Memorial Park. Cocoa, FL
