Mr. Clifton Calvin Blake, at the age of eighty-five, died in Port St. John, Florida. He was born on the 16th day of March 1934. He was registered at birth in Medston, a small town in the parish of Manchester, Jamaica West Indies, by his parents Amos and Clara Blake. He began to work very early in his life. He was a very hardworking and kind person.
Clifton’s work experience began with his father, who was an entrepreneur in Endeavor, Jamaica. In his youth, he assisted his father with transportation. Later, he continued in transportation with the McCauley’s bus company for twelve years, 1950 to 1962, in Jamaica. In the next eight years until 1970, he worked for himself, hauling building supplies when he bought a truck.
In the year 1970, Clifton migrated to the United States with the help of his sister. Soon after, he became a naturalized citizen. Then, five years later, he filed papers for his first wife and four children and brought them up to live with him in New York City. This time, however, he worked for a boiler company in the city for ten years, and later for a parking garage for 12 years. In the mid1990s, he retired and moved to Florida, where he married Genevieve. He and his wife adopted three children.
