Daniel Joseph Schatte

After graduating from high school, Dan enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and proudly served aboard Coast Guard cutters, participating in drug interdiction and search-and-rescue operations. Following his military service, he relocated to Rockledge, where he began a long and dedicated career as an IRS agent. After retiring in 2001, Dan pursued his true passion by becoming a personal trainer, a role he deeply enjoyed.

Dan had a zest for life and found joy in cooking, exercising, and golfing, but above all, he cherished time spent with his close friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judi Schatte; his parents, James Schatte and Louise Tolosano; and his sister, Ellen Pellouchoud. He is survived by his children, Dan Schatte (Meredith) and Melissa Bailey (Randy), grandson, Brody Schatte, and his brother, John Schatte (Marlene).

A graveside service will be held on April 25, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cocoa Memorial Park, 320 Spring Street, Cocoa, Florida.
