Darrin W. Barnes

Darrin was born in Orlando, Florida, moving from Orange County to Brevard in 2009.

He worked as a Landscaper.

When Darrin or “DB” was healthy, he enjoyed surfing and fishing. When he was younger he was a natural baseball and softball player. He was always a team player. He liked watching all kinds of sports and funny movies. He could do a mean imitation of the Billy Joe Thornton’s character in the movie “Sling Blade”.

Darrin is survived by his father M. Kay Barnes and mother Joyce E. Barnes from St. Petersburg, Florida; brothers Kevin Barnes and Scott Barnes; sister Jill Simser; brother-in-law Glen Simser; 8 nieces and nephews; Kyle Barnes, Landon Barnes, Morgan Barnes, Alex Simser, Sean Simser, Jade Simser, Rachel Hale, and Amanda Welch.

Calling hours are 3:30pm to 4:30pm followed by a Celebration of Darrin’s Life beginning at 4:30pm on Thursday October 9, 2014 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, 5475 N. U.S. 1, Cocoa, Florida 32927.
