David Allen Sawyer, Sr.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Dawn Sawyer, his parents, Clinton and Addie Sawyer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children – David Sawyer, Jr. (Velma), Jeff Kahn (Joy), Steve Sawyer (Deborah), Sheri MacDonald, Diana Sharp, (Johnnie Upchurch) Donna Stromer (Rick), and Dean Sawyer (Susan); grandchildren – David Kahn (Louisa), Jan Siegler (Keith Hunsinger); Felicia Sawyer (Timothy Hunsinger); Christopher and Jason Sharp; Sheryl Sawyer-Townsend (Van Townsend), Dylan, Dustyn, and Stephany Sawyer, Derrick Sawyer (Bui) and Danielle Boggs (Bradley); great-grandchildren – Courtney Christian (Zach), Alexander and Gabrielle Townsend; KJ and Jasper Hunsinger; Jacob, Jansyn and Kamila Kahn and Chase; and David, Colt, Sutherlynn and Jaycie Sharp, and Gracie Hunsinger; and great-great-grandchildren – Rowan and Lakelyn Christian.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and cruising. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, Merritt Island, Florida.

He was born in Watertown, New York in 1939 and moved to Brevard County in 1963. He owned and operated Sawyer Plumbing and Sawyer Plumbing of Brevard since 1979.
