Dennis was owner and retired from Tran-Fix Transmission of Cocoa for 26 years. He was a great father and grandfather. He was also an avid woodsman.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Childers; sons Dennis S. Childers III, Randolph A. Childers and wife Pauline Childers; mother-in-law Kathleen Yarborough; sisters Donna Ross and Phyllis Taber; three grandchildren - Dennis S. Childers IV, Allen M. Childers and James Thomas; one great grandchild, Landon Thomas; and seven nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dennis's memory to Vitas Hospice.
Calling hours will be Saturday, May 24th from 2-3pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Cocoa. Follwing the funeral, the family would like to invite everyone to the Zion Church On The Way for a Celebration of Dennis's Life - at 1210 Dixon Blvd, Cocoa, Florida.
