We were just talking about my friend Dody today. Can't believe it's been a year since she passed. We exchanged birthday cards every year. We tried to out do each other - her daughter will remember this.  My husband hates cheese cake but he loved Dody's cherry cheese cake..  She always had it in the center of the table. He asked her one day if it was a center piece or could he eat it. From then on, he would always ask for a center piece when he wanted one of her cheese cakes. We were good friends and we miss her.

The Morton family sends our sincere condolences. Since the early days (late 1950’s) on Merritt Island, Jim & Dody have been dear friends to us. We will miss them dearly❤️

Dody and our family had been friends for many years. Our sympathy goes out to her family. Dody loved to entertain and loved her family and dogs - her cherry cheesecake was our favorite. We exchanged funny birthday cards every year.  She will be so missed.

Dody was the first person we met when we started going to Georgianna many years ago.  I sensed her warmth and energy right from the start and that lasted right through the rest of her life.  We enjoyed UMW projects and events together.  She was the Blueberry Pie Queen of Seasoned Saints and other times as I am told.

Her kindness and generosity and the sharing of her culinary skills will always be remembered with smiles and love.

Celebrate with Jesus till we meet again.

I have many wonderful memories with Dodi, her cheesecakes were delicious and Dodi loved baking them to share. Dodi was so generous and she loved giving gifts :) I have many lovely gifts from her that I will cherish as well as her witty since of humor. Our love and prayers go out to Suzanne and Kurt, grandchildren and family. 

Our deepest sympathies to the Thurston family.  Our neighbor for forty three years will be missed. Dody was a dog lover and our dogs knew if they got out they could run over to Dody’s house and she would give them a treat.  There are many fond memories to look back on and she will be missed.

I’ve known Dody for most of my life.  She had a great sense of humor and liked to laugh. She was also a great hostess and wonderful baker. She will be truly missed. Suzanne and Curt you have my sincere condolences. 

Dody was a dear friend. I met her 36 years ago through my wife's family. Loved her wit and devotion to her family. She lived life to the fullest. Wishing the Thurston family peace.
