She was born on November 18, 1959, in Tampa, FL, to parents Salvador and Rosa Ortiz.
She graduated from Rockledge High School and worked for Delaware North at Kennedy Space Center. Her animals were at the center of her world and considered her "children".
She loved spending time with family and friends and brightened the world with her smile, love and laughther. She was a good friend and sister to all she knew.
She was predeceased by parents, Salvador and Rosa Ortiz, husband James Walsh and sister in-law Theresa Dandurand.
Dolores is survived by siblings, Lydia Dalton, David Ortiz, Salvador Ortiz Jr. and Teresa and Jerry Atkinson Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 16th, at 10 am at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home.
