Gerald "Gerry" Garton Miller, Jr.

Gerry was born February 12,1950 in Charleston, WV to Gerald Miller and Connie Harris Miller. Gerry proudly served his country and was enlisted in the U.S. Navy (1971-1974) aboard the USS Lexington. He graduated Cocoa High (1968) and earned an A.S. degree in Engineering Drafting Technology at Brevard Junior College (1970). He worked 35 years for Cape Kennedy as a Draftsman and CAD Designer, he loved every minute. He also had a part time house painting business. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball and bowling. He was a coach for girl’s slow pitch softball. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and West Virginia Mountaineers sports teams. He enjoyed woodworking and built many unusual things. He had a love for music: Surf, Rock and Roll, Folk Rock, Country, and New Age. He was dripping with humor and loved his one liners.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Connie. He is survived by his daughter Jocelynn Miller (Larry Williams), granddaughter Sonya (Joseph) Boone, brother David (Vicki) Miller, Nephew Greg (Sarah) Miller, great niece Savannah Miller, many cousins and extended family.

A celebration of life for Gerry will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953.
