Hazel Stephens, 79, loving wife of the late Vernon Stephens entered into rest on Friday, March 18, 2011. Hazel was born in Floyd County, Kentucky, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class of Garrett High School and came to Brevard County in 1956. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cocoa. Hazel was a loving wife and mother and a true and faithful friend. Hazel is survived by daughters, Hazel Yvonne Stephens and Pamela Sue Jackson (Buddy); son, Michael Vernon Stephens (Teresa); five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Brevard Memorial Park.
Donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa, Florida.
