Hewitt Lawhon, Jr. age 85, passed away on January 22, 2021. He was born on July 15, 1935 in Florence, South Carolina son of the late Hewitt and Mary Louise (Rhodes) Lawhon, Sr. He moved to Brevard County in 1957 from Florence.
Hewitt worked for Lockheed Martin as a Mechanical Engineer.
He was a member of Naval Reserves, Rockledge Country Club, Merritt Island Presbyterian Church, Cocoa Presbyterian and Our Choice Community Church.
Survivors include his wife Julie; sons Steve (Linda) and Mike (Sheryl); brother Richard Lawhon; sister Linda Westbrook; grandchildren Corey McCormack, Erika (KC) Wyatt, Ryan Lawhon, Brooke (Justin) Markwalter , Lacey Lawhon, Julie (Stefan) Bauer, Caleb Hobbs, Lucas Hobbs, Emily Hobbs, James (Amanda) Spencer; great grandchildren Declan Markwalter, Melina Bauer, and Savannah Spencer.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10:00 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Entombment will be at Brevard Memorial Park.
