You are no longer torn about where you want to be. You are home in eternal peace and joy with JESUS and mom and all our loved ones. Hallelujah! We shall see the same soon enough. Thank you JESUS.
Thank you for teaching me the eternal greatness of having faith. It took me a while to figure how to apply it to my daily living.
It’s good to know and rest assured in the great joy awaiting us all at the throne of GRACE. Heaven has another citizen. I love you Dad and my spirit rejoices for you. See you one day

Howard W. Kenyon – January 26, 1927 – October 20, 2019

Dear Nicaragua Mission Team Members, Sponsors and Supporters

Please pause with me just a moment and pray for the family of Howard W. Kenyon, one of the first to go on mission with us to Nicaragua. He was very instrumental in raising the financial support for our initial work in Spring Valley, the purchase of the property next to the village, and in the construction of the Spring Valley Baptist Church. Until a few years ago, Howard and Rae sponsored several pastors through their biblical education and helped provide for their food and shelter.

Having six children, 17-grandchildren, and 32-great-grandchildren, Howard was what we called a “kid magnet!” When we wanted to know where he was and what he was doing, we just looked for the crowd of “little children,” and while he may not have known how to play the games they wanted him to play, he always knew how to show them the love of the Lord.

Howard never saw a “thrift shop” without stopping and shopping and at least buying something. He bought several sets of clothes to wear on the mission field, and then he left them at the mission house, including his socks and shoes, and his luggage. He also emptied his wallet of any leftover funds; keeping just enough to get him home.

I first met Howard and Rae while serving as Pastor of Westside Baptist Church in Titusville, Florida, in the late 90’s. A theological conservative pastor himself, Howard was dismayed at the lack of doctrinal truth being preached in most churches, and while he was not a prophet, he continued to warn those who would listen, if the church continued in the same direction, it would end in apostasy. Sadly, he was correct.

Howard was of the “greatest generation!” While he was dismayed by so many things, he always had a positive, “can do” attitude. The fact that he lived 92-years is proof that he never gave up, or gave out, until the Lord took him out. I have no doubt that quite a fe

What a privilege it was to be your daughter. You were everything I needed a father to be at the very moment I needed it. I am all that I am today because of the sacrifices you made for me. I will miss your advice, your stories, our trips to New England. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, for always making me feel good enough, for encouraging me to be the best that I can be and for always living by example. I will miss you every day until we see each other again.
