Born in Covington, Virginia, Ed moved to Florida in the late 1960s. He served in the United States Army.
Ed retired from United Space Alliance after more than 40 years as a procurement manager with McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, and USA. Ed volunteered with National Veterans Homeless Support. He had a big heart and lived to help others, often putting the needs of others before his own.
He is survived by two children: Dr. Jeneile Cordell and Captain Ian Cordell of the USAF; grandson, Kirby; siblings, Donald, Denise, Cynthia, and Melissa.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Cocoa Presbyterian Church at 4 pm.
