Jack S. Morey

Jack S. Morey passed away on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 in Titusville, Florida. He battled various medical conditions recently but showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile and positive words of wisdom.

Jack was born on September 9, 1934, in Ty Ty, Georgia. He met the love of his life, Margaret J. Morey (DeeDee) in Virginia while he was in the Navy. Jack spent 20 years in the service, serving 4 years in the Navy and 16 years in the Air Force, taking his family with him to the different locations where he was stationed. After he retired, Jack worked as an automotive mechanic for 7 years at Sears. He also worked in various roles for the Space Shuttle Program until his retirement at the age of 58.

Jack was an avid fisherman and loved to travel in his R.V. visiting family and friends across the country. Jack is survived by his sister, Grace (Tim); sons, Jack(Meri), and Mike (Debbie); granddaughters, Jaclyn (We), MeriAnne, and Michele (Blake), along with 6 great-grandchildren, Emma, Ashton, Lily, Annabeth, Ry Anne, and Adrianna.

Jack’s family will host funeral services at Gateway Baptist Church in Titusville, Florida on Thursday, November 9, 2023. A visitation gathering will be held from 10:30am to 11:30am with a celebration of life beginning at 11:30am (Clay Stevens officiating). Following the funeral, Jack will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
