James Delaney DeVault Merritt Island James Delaney DeVault, 79, of Merritt Island, died May 4, 2011, in the company of his family. He was born in Kingsport, TN in 1931. He served both as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army and , after his graduation from the University of Tennessee, an electrical engineer at NASA. He re tired after thirty-two years of government service. Jim was a faithful, loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. Jim was survived by his loving wife, Mary Arlene Knight; his children, Teresa Owens, Deborah Ball, Belinda Wetherington, Laura Klangthamniem, Michael DeVault, Rebecca Merz, Clifton Beaman, Jr., Bonnie Goldstein, Larry Beaman and Tammy Knight; his grandchildren, Amanda Massey, Sarah Wetherington, Monica Ball, Natalie Ball, Terri Merz and Ty Klangthamniem; and two great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2011 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, Cocoa. Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 10 at the funeral home.
