Dear Bobby, Michael and Tommy- I think back to our younger days growing up on St. James Ave... As a young girl the strength, confidence and determination  your mom projected were qualities I could not identify then, but was always impressed with. In a small, but significant way, I too was fortunate to have known her.  May she rest in peace and you all find comfort in the time and memories she left you.

wow - this is cool - the first cyber guest book I have ever signed into!

To me, Aunt Janet is someone that I knew best before I knew very much at all. I spent more early years with her than I did later years, so my view is skewed to the perceptions of the a fairly young Me, so take what I say under those parameters.  Janet was a divorced and a single mom back in the day when there was still stigma attached to those terms, yet for me, that was just "grownup talk".  From my perspective, she was ultimately cool; she listened to cool music, she viewed the world from a higher plane, beyond the suburban Irish-Italian catholic milieu that the rest of us were embedded in.  She lived in the "city", or at least Queens in an apartment; a life that most of the rest of the family had left for one unit family living in the burbs.  She gave me my first "cool album", Seargent  Peppers Heart Club Band and when I stayed at her apartment, I got to listen to my first Frank Zappa album, "Hungry Freaks".  However, most of my days at that time, were spent doing kid stuff with Bobby, Michael, and Tommy, so Aunt Janet lived in the mysterious world of "things that adults do".  However, I will still never forget how cool she was and maybe thats all there is for me to say.....

I can remember Aunt Janet back to her and Uncle Lou's wedding day.  I believe it was August of 1980...what a great party!  It was then that I bonded with Tom and have had a life long cousin and friend, in him.  My brother Jason and I would sleep at Lou and Janet's as teenagers, they'd take us fishing and we'd laugh...a lot.  My thoughts and prayers are with her in heaven and with all of her family dealing with her loss...with love, from the Scarth family.



Bobby, Michael & Tommy....   We are sorry for the loss of your mom. As you know we visited her and Dad quite often over the past year and it was sad to see how much she was suffering. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Never thought that Id be writing on here so soon, its crazy how quickly things can happen in life. I couldnt have asked for a better Grandma, she was always there when we needed her and she always knew how to help make difficult situations easier to handle. I know we didnt get to see each other a whole lot, but when we did it was perfect. Ill never forget the stories she and Grandpa used to tell us together, along with all the laughs we shared. Even though she wont be here to see me graduate,I know that she'll be there walking across the stage with me. I miss you, and I wish we got to see each other more. Condolences To Janet's Family:  Although i have only known your Mom for a short time I had come to know her for the beautiful woman she was.  I last day I spent with her one day in late February, before I returned to New York, was when Don had an appointment.  I picked her and Lou up from their respective residences and I took them to the beach for lunch.  We spent a wonderful day together sitting on the outdoor deck of Coconut's Restaurant on Cocoa Beach.  The sun was shining and they really enjoyed the day together.  It is a day I will remember whenever I think of her.  She certainly was someone who was easy to know and to care about.  My only regret was our friendship was cut so short.  God Bless Her!  I know she is in a better place and happy with God!
