Born in Merrill, Mississippi, Jerry moved to Florida in 1973. He served in the United States Army and retired from the active reserve.
Jerry wore many hats; he worked as a full time teacher for Brevard County, he worked as a security officer at BCC, and was also a retired reserve police officer. He attended Bethel Baptist Church in Cocoa. Jerry was a USM Alumni and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed watching football, riding his motorcycle, and always kept in touch and talked with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abner and Doris Lott; daughter, Paula Ann Lott; first wife, Emily Lott; and sister, Lorraine Lott. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Leonita Lott; son, Mark A. Lott; three daughters: Deborah Sahle (John), Tabitha Pugh, and Rachael Lott; brother, Larry Lott (Nadene); and seven grandchildren: Kaylee, Ryan, Jerad, Emily, Ciara, Kevan, and Christopher.

A visitation will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 11-1PM with a service to follow at 1PM. Interment will take place at Beaumont Cemetery in Mississippi.
