I also was a little sister in Phi Kappa Theta at UF.  John and I became wonderful friends and I visited him in the NYC area when he lived there.  I have great memories from those trips.  We got together in Florida when he moved back, but unfortunately I lost touch with him after a while.  John was so caring and funny.  I have missed him  so much over the years, however his laugh lives on in my memory.

I knew John in college where I was a Little Sister in his fraternity. He was a very loveable, kind, and fun person. I can't wait to see him in Heaven!

I have only known John for a short period of his life, however in that short period he has touch my life and I will never forget him. I have John's memorial on my frig and as I pass by, I stop and look in disbelief, I cannot image not seeing him at the college.  John was such a patent man; he would spend countless hours with me, teaching me algebra. I would say to him, “I have never done this kind of math in my fifty-two years, and I will probably not use it the rest of my years. John's rely would be, “math is fun, it like solving a crossword puzzle.”  I would have never made it this far in my math classes without the help of John; he has contributed greatly to my success. I have concerns about my future math classes without him, however I can hear him whisper in my ear; “you can do it!” 
Somehow, I thought John to be a loner; however, after reading his memorial book, I see how wrong I was. It seems John has touched many lives with his present, I am glad I am among the many.

We were fortunate to work with John for a year at BCC, in the Office for Students with Disabilities. John is and will always be a special man to everyone who came in contact with him. He always had a smile on his face, a funny story to tell and made everyone around him feel at ease, especially the students he tutored. Working with John was such a pleasure because of his positive nature about everything. He saw the beauty in life and enjoyed living. Now he will live on forever in all our hearts. I didn't realize just how much John has impacted my life until he stopped coming to work one day. It just is not the same in our office without him. John, I miss you very much. Godspeed on the next chapter in the journey of life.

Thanks John for teaching me something new everytime that I met with you. I will miss you!

I have known John for over 25 years. We both worked for the National Film Board of Canada. He woeked at our office in New York and I worked from Montreal. we became instant friends. He was a true professional, always ready to help and share. He loved Montreal and we all loved him. I know he has touched everybody he met throughout his life. We had so many laughs, we had great times. I will miss him always. H

Mr. John... I wish I had gotten to know you sooner. Though, we only knew each other for a brief amount of time, I will never forget our moments together. You were, and still are, such a lovely man with such a wonderful spirit. I'll miss your presence and strolls into the office every day, Mr. John. I am so glad to have had the chance to meet you.

I am so sad to hear that John has died.  He and I worked together in the National Film Board of Canada's New York office in the late 1980's. John's ebullient spirit, wonderful sense of humor, quick intelligence and creativity made an impression on everyone he met in New York, and wherever he travelled in the US, in Canada and in France.  He was a vital member of the New York Film/Video community during the years that he was here, always making valuable contributions to any project or committee in which he participated. It is hard to believe he is gone.  May he rest in peace.

I did not know you John, and I am sorry bout that and you are BCC family, so you will be missed.

I met John in 2000, when we were performing in 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown' at TPI. I played Johnny Brown, he played Christmas Morgan. He was one of the nicest human beings I've ever met and an absolute pleasure to work with. His energy and kindness will undoubtedly be missed both onstage and off.

John was a dear member of our office. He served all students with dignity and diligence. He greeted everyone with a smile. In my thoughts and prayers I will always remember his gentle demeanor, kindness and humor.

John was very dear to me and I'll always remember our times together, on and off-stage.  He was a true renaissance man, kind, generous and giving of his time.  He loved, and was deeply loved by all whom he ever knew.

John was a kind and lovely man.  I enjoyed getting to know him in THE FOREIGNER at Surfside and then was delighted to find out he was working at BCC.  I have heard students speak well of him.

John...  You will be one of my favorite on-stage boyfriends of all time!  You are a wonderful man and  a great friend.  I will miss yo dearly.

One of my favorite memories of John is from "Once Upon a Mattress" at Surfside, where he played a giant canary.  John had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a genuinely kind person.  Jimmy and I will miss him very much.

John was one of those people who would light up a room the moment he walked in.

John was always so kind, patient, and loving. I truly enjoyed working with him at BCC and listening to his great stories and adventures. We will miss him very much. Him and his family are in our prayers.

We, at Brevard Community College, will miss John very much.  He was a remarkable man and educator who gave his all to his students.

John was a true friend, a confidant, and my adopted big brother. I spent countless hours with him, talking, laughing, sharing stories, getting advice, and being eternally jealous that he met Sondheim. He was one of my dearest friends and I will miss him so much.

I did a Show with John at Surfside a few years back. I remember him to be a talented actor and a really nice guy, always pleasant with a kind word for everyone. I'm sure he'll be missed by the theater community and certainly by his family.

I've known John for many, many years and I know we who knew him will be telling humorous stories about him for many years to come; and to those who never got a chance to know him, ask us and we'll tell you all the good things there were about him that made us love him. God Speed, John!

John was very special to my family, in the theatre and outside the theatre.  I will never forget how he opened his heart to help us when we were in despair.  Peace be with you, John.

I shall miss his smile, his humour, his powerful voice and laughter, and his gentleness,everything that made John so endearing to all of us.

Although I just met John in February of this year, I got to know a lot about him through our daily talks at work at BCC. I am so stunned and saddened at the loss of our math tutor, coworker, and friend. May all who love him find peace during this sad time. We will miss you and your booming voice, John!
