Justyce Mark Connors, 18, of Port St. John, passed away on October 13, 2026. Born on June 10, 2008 in Rockledge, Florida, Justyce lived with a steady sense of purpose—meeting each season of life with quiet discipline, sincere respect for others, and a faith that remained an important part of his days. Even in serious moments, his humor had a way of easing the weight of the world and reminding those around him to breathe, smile, and keep going.
Justyce attended Challenger 7 Elementary School and Imperial Estates Elementary School before continuing on to Space Coast Junior/Senior High School, where he completed both middle school and high school. He graduated in May 2026 with honors and the distinction of Designated Scholar. He also completed five years of JROTC and earned his JROTC Leadership Certification, along with his HVAC Certification and OSHA Certification—achievements that reflected both his work ethic and his determination to be prepared for what he believed he was called to do.
Athletics were a meaningful part of Justyce's life, and he pursued them with commitment and heart. In middle school, he participated in track and field. In high school, he played tennis and earned a position on the Football team, however he ultimately chose to start focusing on his physical fitness training to prepare for the military!
Wrestling held a special place for Justyce. He was a member of the Space Coast wrestling team and earned a position on the varsity wrestling team after completing his very first preseason—an accomplishment that spoke to his grit and focus. Wrestling was a sport he absolutely loved. In December of his senior year, after suffering a significant concussion, he made the difficult decision to step away, knowing that another concussion could jeopardize his opportunity to leave for Navy training. It was a choice marked by maturity and resolve: even when something mattered deeply to him, he protected the future he had worked so hard to build.
Justyce’s commitment to service was evident early. He was a dedicated member of the Space Coast Junior/Senior High School JROTC program for five years, where he developed leadership, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility. Before beginning his military career, he worked for several local businesses, including Crimson Tide AC, Domino’s Pizza – Port St. John, Florida, and Coastline Spray Foam—bringing the same reliability and steady effort that characterized so much of his life.
During his senior year of high school, Justyce enlisted in the United States Navy. He departed for Navy Recruit Training on June 15, 2026, attending Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois. Assigned to Division 937, he served as State Flag Unit Leader during boot camp. He graduated from Navy Recruit Training on August 20, 2026, achieved the rank of Fireman (E-3), and earned a Sharpshooter qualification during recruit training. He continued his military education at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, South Carolina, entering training in the Machinist’s Mate (Nuclear) career field and beginning his nuclear training classes on August 31, 2026.
Faith and community were also central threads in Justyce’s life. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he attended several churches throughout Brevard County, including The Grove – Titusville, Florida; Coastal Community Church – Port St. John, Florida; East Coast Christian Center – Merritt Island, Florida; and East Coast Christian Center – Viera, Florida. He enjoyed participating in youth groups throughout the community and attended any and all youth groups he could, whether hosted at a church or held in someone’s home. Not limited to one congregation, he valued the chance to connect, build friendships, and be present wherever people gathered in encouragement and fellowship.
In all he pursued—school, employment, athletics, JROTC, church involvement, and preparation for military service—Justyce showed determination and discipline, while remaining respectful in the way he carried himself with others. His humor, never out of place and never unkind, was part of how he connected: a bright, steadying presence that will be remembered alongside his accomplishments. In 18 years, Justyce achieved much, but his legacy reaches beyond milestones. It lives in the example of a young man who worked toward his goals with conviction, made hard choices with maturity, and held fast to what mattered most.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Angel Ann Connors, who was born and passed away on October 23, 2006.
