

She was born on June 10, 1923 and was raised in Sparta, North Carolina. She always loved the North Carolina mountains and was proud of her Blue Ridge Mountain heritage.
Kathleen with her husband Cliff and their two sons, moved to Cocoa in 1958. Cliff was part of the early days of the space program with Martin Marietta on the Titan missile project.
She was a homemaker and was also a substitute teacher at Kennedy Middle School for many years. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing her entire life. Kathleen was also an avid reader and enjoyed reading Christian books, especially by Billy Graham. She also enjoyed entertaining in her home and preparing many home cooked meals for her friends. She was also active in Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball auxillary during the 1960’s.
Kathleen and her husband Cliff were early members of the Church of the Nazarene in Cocoa and she was a faithful member for 54 years. She was active in all aspects of the church including Sunday School teacher, church board member and was District Missionary President for 17 years. Her passion throughout her life was world missions and spreading the gospel. Her last mission endeavor was to help raise funds for drinking wells in Haiti. One of Kathleen’s many gifts was to reach out to newcomers and make them feel welcome. She was most proud of the new Nazarene Church facility built in Rockledge in 2003.
Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and left a legacy that honored God in everything she did.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Cliff and son Larry.
She is survived by her son Ivan and wife Marilyn of Rockledge; granddaughters Nicole and husband Mark of Tampa, Brooke and husband Philip of Tampa; great grandchildren Grayson, Parker, Kate, Avery and Luke.
She is also survived by her brother William Holloway of Asheboro, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12th at the Rockledge Church of the Nazarene located at 651 Barnes Blvd. in Rockledge. The family will greet friends from 10 AM to 11 AM with funeral services starting at 11 AM., followed by an interment service at Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa.
