Laurie would come to the Cocoa Y with the biggest smile on her face. Even on the days she didn't feel well. She would bring Kane to the Child development class and he would scream the entire time Laurie was gone. But as time went on Kane was happy and mom was so proud of him. Laurie always said, "the Y is my happy place". She always let us know how much she loved and appreciated the Y staff. We love you too Laurie and will miss your smiling face.

Although I haven’t been in touch in years, Laurie will always hold a special place in my heart! I spent many weekends during my most formative years having slumber parties.. One in particular was a slumber party when we were 13 at my house where we watched Grease and sang at the top of our lungs while jumping on sofa pillows. Laurie knew how to enjoy life to its fullest even then! She was a loving and generous friend and it sounds like she remained that way throughout her life. I’m so sorry for her family’s loss and extend my deepest sympathy to her brother, Michael and the rest of her loved ones. I hope that the memories you have of her comfort you as you grieve her passing. Shelly

Laurie I'm so glad that I had the chance to get to know you and your kids, you were such an amazing and loving person with a big heart. I appreciate the time that I got to know you and the time that I spent with your family either babysitting or going on an outing on the boat. Life wont be the same without your encouraging words and loving heart. You will be missed dearly. Love you always
