Lena R. Tucker passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 in Merritt Island, Florida. Lena was born on December 10, 1928 to Mary S. (Raybon) and Manson A. Talbert in Poinsett County, Arkansas and grew up in Bailey, Mississippi.
In 1948, she married and moved to Cheyenne Wyoming for 14 years before settling in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Lena spent her next 54 years there before moving to Florida to be with her daughter. Lena was a homemaker who loved to work in her garden, crochet, and visit her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband James David Tucker. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Kovalchik (Dan); granddaughter, Shelley Kovalchik; stepsons, Lewis Sponheimer and Michael Sponheimer and their families; sister, Melba Ruth Long; and six nieces. Lena was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She will rest beside her husband at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia following a graveside service on Monday June 28 at 0900.
