Lillie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carla and her husband James T Carew. Six Grandchildren Nicole Brandt, Blaine Carew, Heather Morgan, Daniel Mitchell, James E Carew, and Mary Duncan, and Ten Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Mitchell, two sons Michael and Kevin Mitchell and a daughter Charlene Russo.
Lillie met Richard when she and a friend went to enlist in the Army and Richard was the Recruiter. He enlisted Lillie's friend but married Lillie two months later.
After many moves overseas and around the USA, they landed in Florida, on Merritt Island in 1968.
Lillie worked many jobs and started working at the Melbourne Airport for Nation Car Rentals where she worked there for twenty+ years before retiring.
She was very creative and loved to decorate and sew. She loved her family and was the heart of the home.
Friends and family will be received At Wylie Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N Courtney Pkwy, Merritt Island, Fl. 32953. On Friday September 4, 2026 from 2-4, for a Celebration of Life.
