Linda was born on September 17, 1944, in Helena, AR, the oldest daughter of Dennis Lee (Buck) and Rosie Mae. When she was six, her family moved to Florida, settling eventually in Titusville, where she would spend most of her life.
She was a loving, sensitive woman who was the glue that held her family together. Her career was as varied as she was — she worked at Disney, ran her own secretarial service, operated a home daycare, served as a postal worker, and co-founded a trucking company in Maryland before retiring and returning to Florida. Linda enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and researching her family history. Above all else, she lived for her people. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren filled her heart, and she cherished every moment with them.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, William (Bill); their four children and spouses, Toni Lynn (Troy), David (Lisa), Terri, and Danny; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Patsy (Jack); and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dennis Lee Jr.
A graveside service celebrating Linda's life will be held Monday, June 8, at 11:00 AM at Cocoa Memorial Park and Cremation Gardens, 320 Spring St, Cocoa, FL 32927. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Linda's honor to No One Hungry, P.O. Box 981, Titusville, FL 32781 — noonehungryfl.org.
