

Lois Marylin (Brearley) Jenks, 92, of Merritt Island FL peacefully passed away September 3rd 2023 at home with family by her side. Lois was born in Endicott, NY on October 19, 1930, daughter of SGT. Robert Brearley and Amy Irene (Ball) Brearley. She lived her early years in Johnson City. She graduated January 31st 1949 from Johnson City High School. During the war she corresponded with her father who died in the invasion of Leyte. Lois married Robert Jenks on February 19th, 1955 and moved to Endicott where she lived until 1974 before relocating to Cocoa Beach FL.
She was an avid reader, photographer and loved to write poems which were published and even wrote a short story. Lois enjoyed taking trips with Carolyn to see her family and to do research for genealogy.
She worked for Sentinel Star of Orlando, Brevard Community College, Patrick Air force base Credit Union, Planning Research Corp and Lockheed Space Operations at Kennedy Space Center until she retired.
The love of her life was her family - especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her parents, SGT. Robert Brearley and Amy (Ball) Brearley, her husband Robert Jenks, sister Marie, son-in-law Georgi and her companion Carolyn Hart.
She is survived by her son, Scott and his wife Michelle of Jacksonville FL. Her daughter Anne Terzieff of Melbourne FL. Her grandchildren, Heather, Tommy, Sarah, James, Jeffrey. Her great grandchildren, Ethan, Nathaniel, Triniti, James, Lawson, Donald, Heather, Elizabeth, Eva and by her brother Robert Brearley of Johnson City, NY.
The Interment Services will be held at Brevard Memorial Park, 320 Spring St, Cocoa, FL 32927, on Saturday October 7th at 11AM. Pastor Beth of Grace of United Methodist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends at graveside, Saturday morning from 10:30 AM until service time at 11AM.
