He was a devoted Christian, loving father, and faithful husband. Manuel was born in Moore Haven, Florida on December 30, 1939. He lived a modest life until joining the Navy in 1958 to proudly serve our country. During his time of service, he was stationed in Guam, San Diego, and was mostly deployed at sea upon an aircraft carrier.
He married Frances Lucille Sherrod on November 12, 1963. They were married for 54 abundantly blessed years. During those years they had three beautiful children, Darlene, Gerald, and Joanna. Frances and Manuel raised their family in a Christian home with a love of the Lord while attending Church of God of Prophecy here in Cocoa, Florida. Also, during those 54 years the family grew to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends that were greatly loved and cared for by Manuel.
Manuel was a hardworking, honest, kind man all his life. He retired from Aire-Lite Pools in 2001. His beloved wife joined him a short while later in 2003. In January 2004, they hit the road in an RV to see the country. Their travels took them from coast to coast and just about everywhere in between, for the last fourteen years.
Manuel lived an amazing life full of adventure. He was a loving and faithful husband to his beloved wife of 54 years. He was a devoted and present father to his three children. And lastly, he is a child of God who served our Lord and Savior faithfully his whole life. May he rest in peace in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
