Margaret A Schneider

Margaret "Peggy" Schneider, 74, was called to be with our Lord on August 28, 2010. Peggy was born in Queens, N.Y. Peggy Joined the New York City Department of Correction in 1959. It was during this time that Peggy met a fellow correction officer Nicholas Schneider who became her husband of 44 years. Peggy left the DCNY in 1963 to raise her family and in 1978 the Schneider's moved to Merritt Island, Florida. In 1986, Peggy returned to uniform as an inspector with the U.S. Customs Service. She Retired from customs after 18 years of service.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Margaret Schorndorf, Brother John Schorndorf and Husband Nicholas. She is survived by sons John, James and Thomas of Merritt Island, daughters Mary Huff (Jon) of Cocoa Beach, Patricia Bachstien (Robert) of Hawaii, and grandchildren Lindsey, Robbie, Nicholas, Lauren, Anthony, Patrick and Dylan.
