

Mary lived to be 103 years old. She was born April 22, 1922 and died June 9, 2025 in Viera, Florida.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania one of six children. The family moved to Buffalo, New York when she was just 6 years old. She started working as a nanny while she was still in high school. She went on to work in offices, the federal reserve, and eventually office manager for the Calspan credit union. She retired in 1978 and moved to Titusville, Florida. There she became very active in the community as President of the Art League, President of the Welcome Wagon, and singing in the Sweet Adelines choral group. She was well known for her pottery and stained glass; appearing in many art shows. She and her husband were both part of the bowling league. She organized and played bridge every week. On top of all that, she loved to garden every day, making sure her house was surrounded by beautiful flowers. She had a lovely, powerful singing voice, and sang every day even at 103 years old.
Mary will soon be with her mother and father, George and Mary Ohar (Alexik), her husband Baine Garwood Martin, Sister Rose, Brothers George, John, Mike and Andrew, and granddaughter Heather. Mary leaves behind son Charles Martin (Gina), daughter Iris Dunn (Eric), and son Keith Martin. Grandchildren Malia, Sarah, Miya, Christopher, Shannon, and Grant. Great-great grandchild Luke.
A graveside service for Mary will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Brevard Memorial Park, 320 Spring St, Cocoa, FL 32927.
