Mildred worked for the school system as a cafeteria worker until she retired. She attended Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Melbourne, FL. She enjoyed listening to music and her dog. She married Eddie Smith on April 6, 1940. They were together until he passed in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her son and daughter, Grady and Elaine.
She is survived by two daughters: Dorothy(Harold) Caudill of Valkaria, FL and Doris Patterson of Louisville, KY; sister, Merle Reddish of AL; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Melbourne on Monday, March 30, 2015 with a visitation from 1-2PM and the service to begin at 2PM. Interment will follow at Brevard Memorial Park.
