It is with utter disbelief that the family of Paul “Cannon” Meyer Jr. announces his sudden passing. Cannon passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the home he shared with his wife Hilda, the love of his life. They resided in Titusville, Florida. Cannon was 61 years young.
An Astronaut High School graduate, he traveled the world while proudly serving our country in the Air Force. Upon his return home, he went to work at Patrick Air Force Base followed by Sea Ray Boats and Boston Whaler. Cannon loved to BBQ and grill, especially Boston Butt and fresh fish that he caught on his own custom fishing rods. His annual blue crab feasts were enjoyed by family, many friends, and neighbors. He was always eager to lend a hand to those in need. Cannon never met a stranger, even the coroner commented that when he did yard work for him Cannon would invite him in for a Budweiser. Everyone loved him, Sandi, his stepdaughter, mentioned in her condolence, “You came into our lives when we needed you most. You showed me with your unconditional love that there was a place for another Father figure in my heart.”
He was pre-deceased by his parents Paul and Agnes and infant brother Daniel. He was the kind-hearted oldest brother to Rita (Charlie), Jeanne, Matt, Annette (Ken), and Jimmy. Proud Dad to Andrea, Breanne, Sandi (Buffie), and Tim (Becca). Beaming Grandpop to Jaycee, J.J., Jaxon, Kenny, Reese, and Eli.
The memorial service will be held on September 8th at 11:00 a.m., Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Cocoa, Florida. In honor of Cannon’s legacy, casual attire is requested. Donations may be made in his name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
