

Phyllis M. Lanthorne, 76, of Port St. John, FL, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010. She was born in Vestaburg, PA on October 10, 1933. Phyllis retired from Bell South in 1993. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.J. (Ed) and Margaret Werk. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, James D. Lanthorne of Port St. John; her sons, Jimmy Lanthorne (Betty) of Titusville, Donnie Lanthorne (Ros) of Merritt Island, and Bobby Lanthorne (Mona) of Titusville; daughters, Karen Scappatore of Port St. John, and Teri Walters-Fiebig of Titusville. She also leaves behind 11 beloved grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, and her two beloved cats, Ditto and Dusty. Phyllis will be remembered for her incredible sense of humor and her devotion to her family. For 30 years, one of her biggest pleasures was her Christmas Eve gathering of family and friends at her home. Her Celebration of Life will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27th.
