Richard James Schubert, Sr., 90, died Saturday, December 10, 2011. Born in Albany, NY to John and Pearl Wilber Schubert.
He retired from the USPS in 1984. Past Commander of the William Valek American Legion Post #1550 member of the Titusville American Legion Post #0001, Lifetime member of the Titusville Elks Lodge #2113. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and Korean War. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Kathleen; daughter, Beatrice (Robert) Heywood of Jacksonville, FL; sons, Richard, Jr. and Raymond (Anna) Argyle, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Kevin and Karen Menges, Michele Parker, Kristina and Kelly Schubert, Jennifer Lewicki; six great grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Boynton; brothers, John, George, William, Robert.
Interment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie, N.Y.
