Born in Barberton, OH, Ric moved to Florida with his family when he was two. He served in the United States Marines.
Ric owned his own construction business before retiring to enjoy time with his family, golfing, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seymore and Margie Getz.
Ric is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Nellie Jane Getz; 3 sons: Ronnie Getz, Sid Hereford, and Don Hereford; 2 daughters: Cynthia Getz Adkins and Patti Schill; sister, Sandy Clark; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2PM at Brevard Memorial Park: 320 Spring Street, Cocoa, FL 32927.
