Roy F. Colvin

Born in Craigsville, VA, Roy was one of 12 children. He moved to Orlando, Florida in 1959 before settling in Titusville in 1965. He served in the United States Army and Army Reserves.

Roy retired from the Brevard County School Board as head of maintenance and also worked as a sub-contractor. He enjoyed handiwork and was always working on or building something for his family or neighbors. He has been a member of Temple Baptist Church since 1968. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 1. Roy was a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. A Gator fan, he loved all sports, especially baseball. He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Loretta G. Colvin; eight children: Noel (Ina), Terry (Kayleen), Colleen (Robert), Timothy, Charlene (Gary), Sharry (Dave), Garry (Kelly), and Becky (Robert); brother, Guy Colvin; 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21 from 12PM-1PM followed by the service at 1PM at Temple Baptist Church in Titusville, FL. Military honors will be presented at Brevard Memorial Park following services.
