Ruth was born in Bockau, Germany on October 31, 1925 to parents Martin and Meta Baumann. She came to the United States in 1948 and married John Fox.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Kathy Jo Thompson, M.D. (husband, Thomas); her grandsons, John (Dana) Thompson and Ian (Jennifer) Thompson; great-grandchildren, John Fox and Emilia Thompson.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years, John Fox.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 1:15 pm at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm.
