Shocked and saddened cannot begin to describe how I felt when heard the news of Shirlene's passing. I had planned to reach out to her in today to wish her a happy birthday, as we hadn't touched base in years. I used to be one of Shirlene's work study students at UM in the early 90's. She was so much fun to be around and was like a big sister to me. I don't know anyone who ever spoke ill of Shirlene. My heart goes out to her family. Shirlene, may God bless and keep you, and I hope to see you again after my time on earth is through. Love always, Sean.

She takes a part of me with her. Every good memory I have from my adolescent years involves Shirlene. I love you, Dale. Always your Chip. May you rest in peace. I love you all. You are in our prayers.
