He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris Healey Petrocelli, his son Thomas Petrocelli of Williamsville NY and his wife Maria Testa, daughter Elizabeth Turner and her husband Joseph Turner of Cocoa FL, and his son Daniel Petrocelli and his wife Maribeth Petrocelli of Tucson AZ. Thomas was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Petrocelli in 1981. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, John and Laura Petrocelli, Shannon, Carrie, and Shelby Melton, and Thomas Petrocelli, as well as 2 great grandchildren Mack Austin Davis and Madison Elizabeth Blanchard, and one great grandchild on the way.
Thomas was born in New York City, son of Thomas Petrocelli and Carmela Donnoli Petrocelli. He attended school in Manhattan, New York and then served in the United States Navy. Thomas worked in the computer field and, later, was a teacher of computer skills to students with disabilities at United Cerebral Palsy in Brooklyn, NY.
He and his wife Doris traveled to England, Ireland, Northern Italy, and Sicily before moving from Long Island to Florida. Thomas was a faithful parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Cocoa, FL and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 PM on Monday at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, US 1 in Cocoa, FL. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 14 at Blessed Sacrament Church on US 1 in Cocoa, FL at 11 AM. His cremains will be interred in the grave of his daughter Deborah in St. Charles Cemetery on Long Island, NY at a later date.
