In the gospel of John, Jesus said the following: John 14:2-5 - Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
The apostle, Paul, said the following: 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 -Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Philippians 1:21 - For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Trevor Parkhurst passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus in the early morning of June 27th, with his mom, Waylene, and his dad, Bob, by his side. The truth of these verses above, are now, Trevor’s reality. His joy and ultimate healing are now complete and Trevor is healed, whole and home. No more death, no more mourning, no more crying and no more pain. (Revelation 21:4)
Over the past year, as he fought a tremendous battle against cancer, Trevor found and gave his life over to Jesus. His desire to learn more about Jesus was evident in his hunger for the Word of God and bubbled over into studies with his mom, Waylene and others, as he worked his way through the Bible and grew in his faith.
Trevor was survived by his dad Bob Parkhurst and his two moms Jennifer Parkhurst Artea and Waylene Parkhurst. Trevor loved and supported Luke in everything he did and was always there for him. The following year they welcomed their daughter to the world. Hope was born July 5, 2018. She was a blessing that filled Trevor’s heart with unparalleled joy. As the years passed, their children grew and life took them on many adventures. In 2021, Trevor proposed to Ashley shortly before their son, Oliver, was born June 8, 2021. His adventurous spirit and bright smile completed their family. Just before Trevor was diagnosed with cancer, life surprised them once again, with yet another blessing. Their last child, Lia, was born November 25, 2024.
