Donald G. Sowle

Donald G. Sowle, 75 of Bronson, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Laurels of Coldwater. He had many wonderful friends there and they referred to him as “Cowboy”. He was born on July 26, 1940, the son of Alfred and Ruth (Gottschalk) Sowle.

Don graduated from Coldwater High School in 1958 and was a retired rodeo cowboy and race horse trainer. He had been an All Around Champion in rough stock events.

Surviving Donnie are his ex-wife Doris Sowle of Reading, 3 children; Brian and Susan Sowle of Allegan, Mark Sowle and Jessica Karcher of Hanover and Jesse and Donna Marsh of Reading and seven grandchildren, Wyatt, Jacob, Justin, Justin, Jason, Jorden, Joshua, one great-granddaughter, Audrie Jean and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Ronald and his son Scott.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be given to Cowboys for Christ, P. O. Box 7557, Fort Worth, TX 76111
