Jeffrey A Swanson

Jeffrey A. Swanson, age 54 of Coldwater, Michigan passed away late Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born November 27, 1961 at Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia, son of George Swanson and Evelyn (VanValkenburg) Swanson.

Jeff enlisted in the United States Army in 1979, he was active from June of 1980 until March of 1987. Jeff married the love of his life, Laurie (Springhall) Mack on July 24, 2004.

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who also had a love of cars, anything Ford. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father George Swanson of Durkee, Oregon and his mother Evelyn Swanson of Coldwater, Michigan. His wife, Laurie Swanson of Coldwater, his children; Sara & Steve Luce of Albion, Heather & Matt Stage of Union City, Isiah Brown of Baker City, Oregon, Tylor Mack & Libby Shumway of Tekonsha, James Swanson of Adrian, Trisha & David Lanning of Coldwater, Kyle & Kelsey Mack of Coldwater. His brothers, Richard & Pamela Swanson of Bronson, Robin & Rose Swanson of Litchfield and his sister Kathy & Jeff Gollnick of Deland, FL. Several grandchildren: Calista, Keegan, Austin, Samantha, Zachery, Skyler, Brianna, Xander, Clayton, Elijah, Wyatt, Griffin, Anikka, and Emmalee and his great grandson Logan, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, David Swanson, Randy Swanson and sister Melodie (Swanson) Jones.

Cremation has taken place and he will have a graveside service for family and friends at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd., Augusta, MI 49012 at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016. A Celebration of Life luncheon is scheduled at the 4H Cabin on the Branch County 4H Fairgrounds, 262 S. Sprague St., Coldwater from 2:00pm to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
