Leo John Chehowski

Leo J. Chehowski, 78 of Coldwater, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at The Laurels of Coldwater. Leo was born November 6, 1937 in Litchfield to Marguerite (Hickerson) Chehowski. He was a graduate of Coldwater High School in 1957 and he served in the U. S. Army National Guard.

Leo worked at Kroger Egg for 20 years, Houser’s Service as a mechanic and at Coldwater Veneer until his retirement. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn, having coffee with the guys at McDonald’s, watching sports on television and watching his son Troy and grandson Andy race on the week-ends.

Leo is survived by his children; Troy (Bonnie) Chehowski of Coldwater, Tomi Hough of Coldwater, Jeff (Hope) Chehowski of Bronson, Toby Chehowski of Indiana and Virl Martin of Coldwater, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Marguerite Chehowski and a son, Andy Chehowski.

Per his wishes Leo was cremated. An interment of ashes will take place Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard.
