

After a short hospital stay at Branch County Community Health Center, Maryanna Carr, 96, of Coldwater, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to Heaven to be with the Lord and the rest of her family on January 4, 2015. She had been suffering from chronic health problems.
Mary was born in Darke County, Ohio, February 2, 1918, daughter to the late George and Emma Wilcox. On September 17, 1938, she married Henry F. Carr. They celebrated 55 years together and raised three children. A woman of strong faith, Mary was a dedicated servant to her church, baking for and supporting her church family whenever needed. Mary was all about home and family. Her devoted husband, children, and grandchildren all benefitted greatly from her wisdom and dedication.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Temples of Coldwater, MI, and Janet (Harry) Sundby of Washington State; her son, Gary (Melisse) Carr of Iron Mountain, MI; grandchildren, Michele (Roger) Broughman of Coldwater, MI, Tim (Janine) Temples of Bronson, MI, Stacey Self of Colorado Springs, CO, David (Tammie) Carr of Iron Mountain, MI, and Eric Beemer of Fernley, NV; great-grandchildren, Sarah Temples of Coldwater, MI, and Vincent Broughman of Coldwater, MI; great-great grandchild, Damien Hastings of Coldwater, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Henry; sisters Helen (Chub) Carr of Camden, MI, and Lorene (Emerson) Kester of Greenville, OH; infant grandson, James Edward Carr of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; nephew Gerald Carr; and Rita (wife of nephew Steve) Carr.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 16th, 2015 from 4-8 pm at Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater, MI.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 17th, 2015 starting at 11 am at East Gilead Missionary Church at the corner of Block Rd. and Southern Rd. Harry Squires will officiate.
Burial will be in the Card Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Gilead Missionary Church or The Gideons.
