

Hoag, Sandra Kay, age 65 of Coldwater passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Sturgis, Michigan on June 24, 1951 the daughter of Raymond and Mary (McNabb) Bauder. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Raymond and a sister, Cindy Sue Bauder-Farr.
Sandra was a very generous, loving, caring woman who always opened her home to those in need. She was very giving with her time as well, volunteering in different ways in her community as well as being a big supporter and Captain for Relay for Life. Sandra was employed at Meijer in Coldwater in many capacities as well as serving as Union Steward since its opening until her retirement about 5 years ago when she became ill. Sandra also enjoyed music, especially country music and loved attending concerts.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Mary Bauder, her loving companion of 23 years, husband of 10 years, Frank Hoag; 5 children: Ronda Ballman, Sue Ballman, Howie (Jen) Ballman, Adam (Nyna) Ballman, April (John Carroll) Clark, sister Shelly Schere, brother, Steve Bauder and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews who she cherished spending time with. Sandra will also be remembered by the many adopted and foster children that she cared for as her own over the years; they always had a special place in her heart and her life.
Sandra’s family will celebrate her life on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a service at 12 NOON at Putnam Funeral Home, 11 East Chicago St., Coldwater, MI.
